JUNIOR COACHING
New information has been added in relation to junior coaching on the coaching page.
CLUBHOUSE IDEAS / SUGGESTIONS
As you are aware the Committee previously sent an email requesting any suggestions/ideas for the clubhouse and the surrounding area.
The committee would be very appreciative if you could reply by email (aerlingustennisclub@gmail.com)
with any ideas/suggestions for the new clubhouse.
These ideas/suggestions would then be collated and prioritised by the committee.
In the meantime the committee must be informed of and approve any alterations/improvements to the clubhouse before any work is commenced, this is in order to make sure that we properly allocate our budget to the most important/necessary items over the coming months.
MALAHIDE TEAM TOURNAMENT
Malahide Tennis Club have invited us to participate in their Coynestone Team Tournament: 06/07/08 & 10 May.
Two classes of teams: - A Team: Players of league standard 3 & 4 - B team: 567 section social level.
Teams consist of 3 women and 3 men at euro20.00 per person.
Total Euro: 120.00
Starts:1845 each evening and we are allowed pick whatever evening we would like to play WED/THU/FR .
On Sunday if we qualify its the playoffs & final day with a barbeque which we are invited to

STACKALLEN TENNIS
We are invited to Stackallen Tennis club (http://www.stackallen.com) on Saturday 9 May, to play in a Tennis friendly tournament against them in the afternoon & have a bit of food and drinkies with them afterwards.
Places are limited to 24.
Cost: Euro30.00 Tennis & overnight accommodation.
Euro10.00 Tennis tournament only.
Please let me know by email aerlingustennisclub@gmail.com or by text 086 8044344 if you are interested in playing in the tournament and/or staying overnight as soon as possible.
TEAM TOURNAMENT
The Team Tournament will start Thursday 9 April 2009.
It will run for four consecutive Thursdays at 7pm sharp.
It replaces club night and is a really fun tournament organised by Maurice Hurley
with prizes for the winning team.
Attached are the fixtures.
MAINTENANCE OF COURTS
Courts 3 to 6 have now been cleaned and are playable.
Work is to be completed by Alsaa on the other courts.
NEW CLUBHOUSE
In 2008 a new clubhouse was built.
The first picture is the original drawing of the clubhouse.
The second picture is the actual clubhouse.
CLUB NIGHTS
Club nights continue every Thursday evening from 7 pm.

HISTORY
" Originally founded in 1966 by employees in Dublin Airport,
Aer Lingus Tennis Club is now open to everybody. Membership
in the first year was £1.00, which was more expensive than
it sounds as the club had no courts. Although no longer
at £1.00 the membership is still great value particularly
if you are interested in any of the many other sports ALSAA
has to offer."
